Why should you Meditate?

Take a piece of paper.

Keep it in sunlight like this.

What do you think, how long will it take to burn the paper? – The paper won’t burn if kept this way, right?

___

Now take a magnifying lens, and focus the sunlight on a point, like this.

Now, how long will it take to burn the paper?

A few seconds.

What do we learn from this?

The same sunlight, which could not burn the paper for hours without concentration, could infact burn the paper in mere seconds when concentrated (at one point).

What the magnifying glass here does is that it intensifies the sunlight and focuses it at one point on the paper.

Just like the sunlight, we too have too much brain power, but because of our unsteady mind we can’t focus it on a specific work.

Just like sunlight, we too need a magnifying glass in our life, which not only concentrates our focus on the work but also intensifies it …

This magnifying glass is called Meditation.

Why should you meditate?

To make your unsteady mind able to concentrate on a specific work with more intensity so that you get better results.
